The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) is yet to appoint a fit-out contractor for its 9,200sqm new office development in Sydney Olympic Park.
The state government organisation is working through a select tender process and appointment is expected to be made late March 2017.
Market sources indicate Lend Lease looks set to secure the role on an integrated basis. Other consultants on board at this stage include CPS to handle overall project management & DWP Suters for interior design. The RFS has recently finalised concept design for what will be a high technology oriented fit-out.
The RFS is still to announce its formal pre-commitment to GPT's new development at 4 Murray Rose Avenue in Sydney Olympic Park. The deal will see it take up space on the part ground floor as well as levels 3-5, which offers floor plates of 2,980sqm each.
The company currently occupies 5,238sqm on the ground floor and levels 1-2 in Building 1 of 15 Carter Street in Homebush. Its lease on these premises expires on Monday 12 November 2018.
It is understood relocation is scheduled to line up with this expiry and at this stage base build completion is set for mid-2018 with fit-out expected in April 2017.
